so the question asked about starting a 200 that's in a series ........
so you post that you carry a starting handle off an old range rover, that you've apparently modified to operate a bottle jack - and then waffle on about needing pulleys and getting them balanced, so ....... when i asked for some pictures of this arrangement it transpires this is something you've not actually done - it's all in your head, and then you trundle off some nonsense about starters and UJs ....... kinda gives the impression you are making things up as you go along
i'll grant you it's a better contribution than your more usual "burn it" ........

In answer to question, starting an ac1 lister petter in the winter is bad enough feck stating a 200tdi.
Least the lister has a de-comp lever and oil primer
