Don't worry too much Nick

My Dakar makes your P38 look like a dinky toy!! Buses tend to sh*t themselves when they see the dakar!

Does that mean the drought is over lads you look to have had a good un and found plenty of water

Yeah found some water alright, alot of lanes were mainly hardcore and rubble though. The ford at Aston Cantlow was good.

Had a good day today fellas, well worth the time researching the lanes. :D

Im going to look into a trip around telford and the likes and see if we cant find some lanes around there.

Anyone up for that?

Matt

Nice pictures of everyones number plates.

And? I also have my numberplates on when i drive or park...but i also have plenty of security...if they want to steal a land rover they can just drive around til they find one, doesn't take long...rather than trawling the internet, finding an address, driving here...blah, blah, blah....i enjoy owning a landy and dont want to live in paranoia ..

End of the day, i have enough to worry about...if it gets nicked i'll get another one...lifes too short to worry about every****ingthing...

'nice pictures of everyones numberplates'

There's always one aint there? Go back under that rock before you get sunburn.

Anyway, nice day gentlemen. Full respect to Nick for taking a bog standard P38 through what where some seriously scratchy lanes.
And, full marks to our ginger bearded route planner.

I hope the jeep gets sorted without too much fuss

And I hope thos electrics get sorted too on that ninety - like I said, it's all part of the fun!

Looking forward to next time!!! May it not be too far away (timewise)
Oh, and, as I said previously, if anyone wants to do Wales, or Salisbury plain etc etc

I'm up for it

did someone say next trip??? wales you say??? :D

On it like a bonnet. :D Id be up for a weekend???

Storm was good to meet you fella, my window wipers came completely off on the way home! :( there held on with the rubber glove and a couple of plastic ties at the moment. doh! need to order some new ones.

Definately a thumbs up to nick, think you missed the right lane though. heronfield lane is narrow.

Hopefully the cherokee gets a new pulley and belt, or Alex coughs up and gets a decent motor that dosent break down! lol

Matt

Really enjoyed today, and nice to meet everyone again!

Ended up towing the jeep home, after a failed attempt with a bungie cord as a belt lasted 4 miles...

Thanks again to matt for leading and organising, and also for the diff guard!

As ive said before im up for a weekend away to wales, sailsbury ect...

I've been checking the OS Explorer maps 232, 233, and 245 which cover Tamworth, Leicester and The National Forest. Map 232 i've found 3 BOATs marked. map 233 has 7 and 245 has 10. I don't know if any are open or even worth driving. How can i check ?
