Can anyone recommend some interesting lanes with maybe a couple of fords as I am looking to get out soon cheers.

I don’t know Staffordshire but it’s best to go with someone. Check the section with local contacts and news to see if there is anyone local. Might be worth joining GLASS or a local club if you plan on going regularly. If you go with someone, you’re more likely to be able to deal with any difficulties.

I have recently joined glass I will have to find out who my local rep is and have a chat with them.

You have some fantastic lanes over that way, good on yer for joining glass, have a look at TW2, and then as you say contact the local rep, as even if they do not arrange trips, then they may know a group you could join to go out with.

Cheers

The local reps email is given out in the GLASS email monthly bulletin, also you may find that they have a fb page , so worth a look.

Cheers

Some great lanes around your area, especially once you're over into Shropshire.
If you can, get someone else to tag along in a second vehicle, you never know what hazards or issues you may come up against, so should never go out alone. Also consider, if you did get stuck, you have no way of recovering yourself, unless you have a winch. I'd say join a local club/group, and not only will you be able to go out laning safely, you'll also make some good friends.

If you don't mind a drive (probably looking at around an hour from Stoke), look up M.G.L.S. (Midland Green Laning Society) on Facebook. Based around the Coventry & Rugby area, they do travel further out, weekend trips to Wales occasionally, and a very experienced and helpful group. Well worth joining the group, even if it's just for the odd day out and the knowledge base that's available.
