I’ve noticed a possible weird problem with my td5 discovery. When going up hills in a high gear for example 4th or 5th on a dual carriageway or motorway I’ve noticed if I have a run up then put my foot hard down the engine slowly looses revs until I have to change down. However if under the same scenario I feather the throttle the engine doesnt build revs but also doesn’t lose them. Is this a normal trait of the td5 and fly by wire throttle. I’ve had a lot of diesel cars and land rovers from old cable operated diesels to more modern than the td5 Diesel engines and they don’t behave the same way as the td5.
Any thoughts?
