Disco 1 Front door lock removal

Got to change the spring inside the lock Haynes says to remove regulator frame and glass the fitting instructions says only to lift the frame about 12 inches can it be done like this?

To be honest I removed the frame complete with glass, you are basically doing that anyway and gives you
Much better access to the lock,
Take a few pics of the linkage to make sure they are refitted correctly, clean and lubricate the lock before refitting,

Cheers all done took the frame and glass out and used masking tape to label rods and photo before removing lock now works like new.
