first off ignore the usual comedians.... they make stupid comments either cos they aint got the knowledge to make sensible ones, or you were right in your assessment

2 litres down on oil shouldnt be terminal.
do you know what the temp gauge was doing.
you said it wouldnt restart.... we need to know if it turned over on the starter or not... any noises or silence etc.
did the red oil light come on whilst it was still running?

any water in the radiator?
terminal bang is often the camshaft drive belt breaking.

if its terminal because of oil id expect the crankshaft bearings to be seized so the starter wont turn the engine over... ... if it turns over but dont fire up id look at camshaft belt.

That's a bit long winded, engine is cream crackered sums up the situation:D:D

Hi ricc ,., thank you for your answer and support

When i tried to restart it sounded like it was coughing .. The red break oil was going on and off the past hour while driving.. But it didnt stay on.. When i tried to restart the battery light was on , and the break oil as well

Yes there is water in the radiator..

Im not an expert so most of the engine parts i dont know ... but i will try to give you as much info as i can

The light coming on and off means it was low on oil pressure this could be due to being low on oil or the oil pump is not performing correctly. It could of course just be a duff sensor. Either way you should really stop, check the level at least and then maybe call the AA etc.

Like said I would probably write the engine off and just fit another, fitting a new timing belt beforehand and giving it a service.

I am now, officially, not the least mechanically minded member on here.:)

Even i know that means you stop and find out why & whats up ( or ring for help usually in my case )

I'm guessing you lost that title when I joined :D :D

But this guy is something else, troll surely :D :D

News from the mechanic today

This is what happened..

The turbo was broken and it sucked all the oil into the exhaust. He said i should have seen white smoke coming out from the back (which i didnt cause it was night)

Thats explains why i run out of oil even though i changed it recently

Now the engine is quite ****ed and im gonna need engine parts.. He is going to look for used ones.. , or maybe change the engine completely

If you're really lucky it's hydraulicked on oil too and bent the rods. But only after taking out the big end shells!!! Time for an electric car:D
