Hi Everyone, 3dr facelift fl1.
I have a few L of water in the boot. I cannot simply tell where is coming from... It is not dripping from above because I had a few carton boxes which are fine.
For now drilled two very small holes which I can seal later, although they look up to the task.

Where are the common leaks please? I also suspect the whole hard top. I did clean it up especially the rubber seals.
Any help appreciated, added some pics.

In my case when I had water in the cubby hole and not in the boot area generally. I discovered it was road surface water splashing up and entering where the cubby hole is welded to the floor. I removed the carpet and sealed all around with silicon. That was several years ago and no water has got in since. This is only one possible place for water to get in.

Good video, I have also had them where the cubby hole gets wet when the car hasn't moved. Maybe there is a negative gravity underneath and the rain comes up?? I've seen door seal mentioned too but carpet never seems wet on the boot floor so no path for water. Mystery!!

Unfortunately it is not my case. Seems like is in the right side somewhere.

If you look at the rubber the rear window presses up to on the side, you will probably find a 'clean' line that water takes, and you'll likely see it shift from running down the outside to inside the car.

Just drill a small hole in the bottom of the fish tank, and paint the damaged metal around the hole. Then at least any water that gets in can drip out again. ;)

Yep that is done however water comes too far from left side, and now after removing the carpet I see that it does not always go there, sometimes goes under carpet towards rear seats, so the fish tank is only part of it.
It is coming somewhere from the right hand wheel arch. Dehumidifier is on now, will remove all of it and leave it like that until we get some sun and I can remove the whole rear bumper and arch for even closer inspection and perhaps seal.
Will also use some wire brush and some tetrosyl to completely clean up and "underseal" the whole area.
My pdc is also dead, could be all this h2o.

I'm having the same problem. Funny you should mention the left side specifically as one of the proposed water entry points is a grille in the plastic below the window. I'm yet to stick some tissues in and find out if they get wet

There is a small cap in left side, rubber. I accidentally pushed it in and now it's just a whole. BUT seems to have fixed, so far no water in, also cleaned it up and threw a layer of underseal for no reason really.
At some point will remove the bumper and inspect it further.
This car keeps me busy in weekends, just hoping for better weather.

Check around the seam, where the cubby box is spot welded to the floor. Sometimes that seam allows spray from the wheels to enter the cubby box from below the car. A high pressure hose sprayed up from below will prove if that joint is bad. ;)
