Following up with this again.Welp.
I replaced the brake booster and it's worse... Now the first 7/8th of the pedal has no resistance and it won't build pressure, I tried to adjust what looks like an adjuster screw in the brake booster but it has not worked, when the engine is off the brake pedal becomes noticeably better, but still incredibly spongy... when the engine is running the brake pedal is incredibly soft???!!?!? until the very bottom?
However, a little bit of good news is that the pedal now DOES go down when holding it with the engine off and turning the engine on, so the brake booster is working?
Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.
EDIT: I after all this tried to fully bleed the whole system and still the same thing...
I bled the master again, which admittingly made it a little better, but still when the engine is off (Brake booster now works) the pedals goes hard but is incredibly spongy! I cannot work it out!!! I have replaced almost everything! I am starting to think either the caliper guide pins are seized or the rear brakes are not adjusted correctly?
Any recommendation on how I can tell if the rear shoes are adjusted correctly? I've read through a few posts already and understand they auto adjust with the foot brake, but they seem to refuse to do this, I've replaced the adjusters before so they should be working?
Super confused!
Thank you!
