Also, just throwing in the FWD gearbox with massively different ratio, gives me two things:
1) an idea what effective ratio I'd find most suitable
2) an IRD to measure up, to build my stronger RWD PG1, from the freelander PG1 case
Ratios did indeed change on the later models, but only by a smidge -
Is that one the facelift or the freelander 2? I have (had) the older and the facelifted F1s, but not auto boxed..
was that a final ratio change in the front and rear differential areas, or a change to 1-4 gears in the manual gearbox, or in te auto boxes....

Should be grabbing some pipe from work to make the bonnet exit exhausts - both will potentially have exhaust flappers on too, just for the inevitable rain :lol:
The "primary" exhaust will only be a bonnet exit for a day or two, for ****s and giggles, and for the "Pride of Longbridge" show. I like to breathe, and I think those few days will be enough for me, lol
