oh, it's certainly been fired - rifling marks in the copper ring, and a MASSIVE dent in the base... somehow??

Also, these turned up today - to fix the central locking :)

£15 for all 4, vs £80+ per corner. No contest.

Oh yes, i can see the rifling marks now :)

Nice one on the solenoids.

So it went off!!!?..blimey, that could have been disastrous. Just imagine doing that to Dan's cannon shell when it was alive!..lol :)

used to be a regular occurance in my yoof.... used to find unused bullets on Ash Ranges (near Aldershot) take em home, fit in vice and tap a nail into the cap .

another trick was to find the empty shell cases and fill them with sodium chlorate and sugar. Drop em in the river - they would burn underwater.
Or use em as engines on plastic ME262 Airfix models :)

Ah! memories :)

:):) ahh, memories of a miss spent youth.

Yea, 303 cases made great engines for the 262!...gave am a little more flak resistance when you shot em with the old BSA Meteor (the one your mum never knew about)...lol, similar happy days.

Kids couldn't do that sort of thing now...all "Elf an Safety". They probably couldn't be arsed to go and look for interesting stuff either. :)

snap for the BSA too. you sure yu didn't live in Ash? :)

Laff!, no, my haunts were the Moray coast (Scotland) there was even homing torpedoes and all sorts of really dangerous stuff washed up there. Its a real wonder i didn't blow myself to bits.

I remember having my own personal stash of 28Ib unexploded practice bombs...some even with the frangible nose cone intact. They were a lovely blue colour...lol!! probably still there to this day.

Its probably best i don't go on :)

I still have a mortar somewhere (used)

Everybody should have some ordnance of some description lying around...its only right lol!

I miss my little pile of blue practise bombs!...should go and dig em up!. But you probably couldn't get near the ranges nowadays. They probably can't afford to throw much stuff down range this day and age either.:)

Going back to the "Heavy Automatic Weapons and Door Solenoid Thread" lol!

I reckon someone of Dan's caliber could easily fit x2 Aden guns to his ACME Hippo project. They are a wonderfully compact gun with surprisingly little recoil.

Maybe a James Bond style drop down foglight conversion?. Needs some kind of 12 to 24v switching tho to get the feed belt/firing system operational.

Might need to ditch the dirty great Turbo tho...:(

pfft, shove it on a roof rack

The wife loves the idea of putting a pirate flag on this car - it made spotting a previous car a doddle in a carpark. At the same time, might as well lob on a light bar. Would love to use two teardrop-shaped motorbike lamps for said light bar, but they tend to go for £50+ each... bit much for something that's going to be left to rust on the roof :p

me and my mate useto do caddying to get some saturday money

then he got an air rifle and when the balls were near a hole we tried to hit them with the air rifle ,

failing that we would run across , pinch the balls and try and flog them in the club house the following weekend , without them realising it was their gold balls

good old memories , lol

Laff!, its all coming out now with the history of some of the reprobates on here!:D

Old golfers never die..they only lose their balls!. Swap yer some golf balls for a practice bomb?...Ok!, maybe a dinky SPV as well? (Captain Scarlet was eaten by the rabbit..sorry).

PS, My BSA Meteor was a weapon of mass destruction. I could "Punch" a hole in a dustbin at over a thousand yards...honest. Bet your mates kuddnt!...lol!
