Re accommodation, we did spend a lot and time and effort looking for somewhere with better options but the only places that had on site rooms with options for camping and a venue for the rally itself charge thousands for use of facilities before anyone even pays for a pitch or room.
That's assuming they'd have us.
Caravan hire might be worth looking at but that's probably not cheap either.
I spent a fair amount of effort trying to stir up interest and what was wanted especially from the Freelanders but got very little feedback so I'm not sure what the answer is there.
The focus from the beginning was to try and make everything as comfortable as possible while keeping costs down but even I was surprised at how posh the toilets, showers and big marquee were (carpet
) We were lucky with the weather but were prepared for much worse.
I know things are getting personal that has nothing to do with the bash but 110w especially put enormous amounts of effort into finding somewhere for us and I for one appreciate it hugely.
Constructive critism is always useful but a head butting compitition isn't so can we please stop dissing what was a celebration of 10 years of LZ. It was never going to be perfect but lots of folk in many different ways gave it a bloody good shot
