Morning Keith, I registered on the site when I bought it.in stand alone I can only access the diesel ecu. I'll work through @holidaychicken 's first sensible post to me and report back. Thanks both.Morning Alan, as you bought the Faultmate second hand, you will need to register on the BBS site, that will the let you download Vehicle Explorer which is necessary to operate the Faultmate with a PC, you can also operate the Faultmate without a PC.
Morning Sugar, I'm running Windows 10.I'll try what you surgested, don't I always, These are strange times are they not.X stay safe.Type VE.exe in your windows search box in bottom left of screen and see what comes up in the results window, if you see a ve.exe file, double click it and see if vehicle exploiter starts.
The input is either automatically from the pc explorer software when it runs or the input for standalone is you pressing any button on the unit / server blue rectangular box thing with pretty blue writing on it .
Will do mate, ive heard back from the NHS, they said they've plenty of gynecologists, just waiting for the chest clinic to get back to me.I am not up to speed with windows 10 really but if if you can do the equivalent of the following
Also when entering into the search box, just try VE instead of VE.exe as my pc didn't find it with the .exe extension.
if you find another folder with just 'black boxes' as the folder name that may be something completely different and linked to your diversity training from when you enrolled as a volunteer missionary gynecologist.
Click on Computer, program files, black box solutions, vehicle explorer and you should see a page like this with the VE showing as an application. i haven't got it installed on a windows 10 pc so it will most likely be different on yours.

10 is just 8.1 with a better UI.Windows 10 is an effing nightmare.
10 is just 8.1 with a better UI.
8.1 was brought out because people hated 8 so much. Basically 10 is 8.1 with the UI from 7.8.1 must have been really crap if 10 is supposed to be better.

I have only recently got a Win10 tablet/notebook with detachable keyboard. It took me 2 days to successfully switch off all the Microsoft crap, now it is no better or worse than 7. 8 was a disaster, 8.1 was a slightly improved disaster. Interestingly, RAVE runs without the Adobe error messages and no driver was needed for the EAS software but a new USB to serial adaptor was.I still use 7 better by far than anything since.
