Just got back from the body shop....... lost all hope now...... and thats not on my body...

The Pug is on its way out

Front panel is bent, sub frame bent headlight gone, bonet bent, bumper and valance broken..... not looking very good, they guy at the Body shop recons it will be riten off.... :-(

Sorry to hear that, does that mean no courtesy car?

Well with your last insurance quote being so high, its a no brainer.
Once they payout it'll be time for another small car.
Cheaper to run than the disco and you can get a car + insurance for less than Biz insurance on a moded Disco.

Hope things start to improve for you soon!

Thats a right bummer, hope you get it sorted soon. Keep smiling though.

Can come round to mine after and laugh at me cutting great chunks out of my bodywork lol.
Spent a fair bit of time on the X-eng website today. So many shiny things.........

No, burn a bloody great hole in my wallet too!!
Need nearly £1500 for all the suspension bits I want.

:D:D:D they look like some nice fancy toys, afraid I got loads more I want done to my Disco before I put some of their toys on, in some ways think it may be quite a while, lol.

Got to get my tyres, winch, and finsih off the full lift first,

Yep, expensive stuff.
As the MOT is up at the end of the month and my handbrake drum has been full of crap and un-used for over 6 months I think I will be investing in an X-brake.
Also gotta sort out wiring up the electric fan, fitting my stick on number, plate, un-blocking the washer jets and replace the broken headlight and indicator lol.

You'll need that handbrake to drive at the SLROC site.
I need to adjust mine, only just managed to pass scrutineering.

When its lifted like mine you have to remove the entire prop to get to it. Plus everytime I go offroading its gets blocked and I only drive it when I go offroading so makes sense to fit a disc brake.

It's easy to sort Chris.

4 bolts for the prop and the drum comes off.

A bit of cleaning and it's sorted.
I really, really hope so.
I'm very fast becoming sick and tired of seized / spinning bolts.
I'm off to B&Q tomorrow for a new cutting disc. then watch then bolt spin :D

Are you working on yours this weekend Discodad?

I've promised to sort Rachael's car (all minor stuff, bulbs etc), re-felt the shed and wire some lights up at the outlaws. Just leaving for B&Q now.

Re the Disco - Yes planning to but between the above or when no one is looking ;)

I took the side steps off last night but one bolt stuck on, will be grinding it off, then i MUST get the air out of the cooling system. Will be buying some brass plugs to replace the plastic ones whilst at B&Q.

I'm also hoping to fir the de-cat pipe, but i doubt time will allow.

Bearings done today, Thank you for your help today Brian, I am going to have a look at them tommorow to make sure they selttled in ok, if needed nip then up.
