I would like a yellow top optima battery (or 2 if anyone is selling) & solved my saggy seat problem with a padded seat cover stolen from a pub furniture set)

Well, i think its time to finally conceded to the overheating issue.
We had it fixed for 3 weeks, then its not been the same since.
Mikey and i tried several things today and cant rectify it. Only definite is when you go round a roundabout, you get heaters, and a normal running temp.
So options are to send the head off to be done and new gasket again, engine change, or set fire to it and replace it!

Due to the roundabout thing, we tried bleeding it on the ramps:

Then i went out for a couple of hours and a random person who didnt want to be named, lifted the header tank slightly:

But that wasnt really an option when i came to closing the bonnet lol:

So tried getting a bit of space LOL

But alas, no difference! Didnt over heat granted, but no heaters so definitely fruit cornered!

Have you tried running it with the matrix bypassed and see if the engine holds temperature? This will take the matrix out the equation. Also is the system holding pressure OK? Hoses ghetting hard e.t.c. and are the usual pipes getting warm? A vacuum bleed of the cooling system may help, if you got access to an airline I have got a vacuum bleeder if needed. Also have you stuck a bottle of K seal through? Might help it...

Personally it sounds like you have a crack in the head and its putting combustion gas through to the cooling system, this is then filling up the matrix and when you go round a corner your knocking that air out and giving just enough extra cooling to drop it down in temp...

Well nothing changed with the K Seal. Above 30 it overheats, and cools down/heaters work on roundabouts! Nick i may have to take you up on youre offer i think!

Got my dash out :D

Going to probably wash the loom to get the mud out and then coat it in WD40 and see what happens. I have some spare bits of loom to replace those plugs but thats a lot of soldering :(
