I reckon if we can travel lodge it, book now and it'll be cheap. Have looked at a few other rental houses in the area but they are all booked.

It we could get a travel lodge with restaurant there as well, that'd be good. The last one I went to do all you can eat breakfast for £7 :clap2:
 
Great days laning yesterday, had lots of fun, was an interesting day with broken suzuki driveshafts, tyres falling of rims and 3 hours oin lane 7!

Anyone got any pics??

Yeah im up for that, good dates for me. Guess I better get my brakes fixed, oh and my clutch hydralics, suppose I should do the leaky gearbox as well...
 
I must be mad after my quest for more power I have just gone and bought

A V8 3.9 I must be bonkers collecting it on weds gonna strip down and rebuild it over the winter then going to run it on carbs and a megajolt so I can play in ze water just got to decide on what to do about gearbox might go with an auto I think ;):D

I can totally see why, I always wonder if I should have got a V8 instead you know... I reckon I could waterproof one easy enough you know, its only the dizzy to worry about and fitting electronic ignition isn't too hard!! Cant wait to hear it!!

Was a top day, had a good laugh, shame about the CV but I was impressed on how well it done otherwise....

If you want an auto box I know someone whos has one to get rid of, it would come bolted to 3.5 V8 with injection mainifolds and system, he might still have the gas kit as well if your interested. Not sure how much he wants but I will give you his number.
V8 are OK if you can solve the water problems, you will only get 10-12 mpg max, they can have oil pressure issues if run at odd angles and require the pump repriming which means disy out and bar with slot on electric drill to spin it up.
Also get very hot and require a big rad and 2xfans.
They also sound good :D

I only have one days leave, so will be heading up after work on the Thursday (same as last year).

I think with careful planning we could accommodate the vehicles as we have a reasonable sized amount of drive and parking. Yet we would appreciate that the lawns would not be parked on. This might mean that some would have to go in single file if you had 8 vehicles. The driving area would be perfect for you as you can walk or drive straight into the forest from our front door. The RAC lombard rally is often using this area, but you probably know more than I do about that !

I'll join you on the thursday, if others cant make it till late we could do a few lanes before. Do you want me to do anything? will have some spare time thursday if you need. How about a meet sometime to sort out a route, beer maybe.
 
I have booked the time off work so will be able to go down on the thursday morning. Happy to help with any bits that need doing beforehand...
