Just striped and cleaned front hub ready for new bearing.
The sheared drive flange bolt is too deep to get out.
Do I leave it and just rely on the remaining four? Or replace the hub (maybe from a breaker).

Trouble is I have a potential deal on a 110 coming up so maybe selling or given current prices, breaking the disco?

Just run 4, I have been for ages, it won't cause an issue. If you want to try a cheap easy out you can drill a hole and then whack it a torx bit thats a bit bigger than the hole, they grip just as well as easy outs but like I say it won't cause you any issues like it is

Well my luck lasted for all of half a day, bloody wheel bearing has collapsed on the way to pick my swing away up... Not having luck with this bloody thing!!

Thought i would let you guys know and it helps as i dont know you guys at all to let off a bit.

Long and short of it my first days lanning is going to sadly be put back a fair while now for the for seable future. I had a call last night confirming the news that my dad of 48yrs old has Bowel cancer and has gone to far for them to completely remove it. So the thought of me going out in my spare time etc and laning it isnt something i fully want to do. I will still tinker with it etc to get my mind off of things but at the moment everything just seems so up in the air.

If i dont touch my landrover for a while is there anything i should do to it so it doesnt fall apart while its not being used?

Thanks for all the good vibes etc you guys had sent for me going laning for the first time and sorry cant take you lot up on it soon. Im not looking for sympathy or anything its just nice to be able to type some bits and i guess every little helps ah! Thanks troops and any advise would be great for not letting the landy break!

Just spent the last four hours trying to get hold of some m10 fine thread nuts for the front shocks and I have come home with nothing, not one of the motor factors round here could supply me with em or tell me where to get em can't believe no one stocks these

Are they not the same as the standard ones? Try Action Fixings or somewhere similar. They are De Carbon shocks so google may throw something up...

I should have yours somewhere, we spoke the other day remember.

I'll text you. may be going to see Mikey at his workshop soon.

Your a life saver brian, hopefully when they get back to me I should be able to slip it in and drive off... I managed to save my stub axle, well, I managed to grind back the old race where it had welded onto the stub, its a bit horrible looking but will do me for a week until I can get a new one... Means I have 1 vehicle back at least, now just need to fix my van. 6 months ago I had 4 vehicles on my drive, now im reduced to 3/4's of a fender!!

Well, i went to look at a 110 at the local land rover dealer for £17500. What a nail! Ill definitely be buying an older one i think. The older ones seem to be abused but rectified. The previous owner of this one on the forecourt just didnt seem to care!

Also as some of us are supposed to be at billing this weekend coming i really need to know final numbers so i can book it.
Brian as youre at Mikes today can you confirm whos coming and how many cars/pitches?
Thanks mate!
