Well guys, my Landy is now sorted and in need of a good outing.

I was on my way to get the cover changed over when the engine stalled, strange as its an Auto? and after removing the belt we found the Alternator had seized.

So all this time the horrible noise, and the lazy battery was just an alternator on its way out.

Luckily I found someone who could fix it straight away and now its back on the truck and the engine sounds better than ever. :)

The pully on the cover is not great but it will last another 6 weeks, which will be MOT expiry time and Death for this one.

So as I said, It needs to get out there and earn its keep.

I know, my last one went the same way after I could not cure a badly smoking engine, I made loads more than I would have got selling complete, even if the engine was good.

Sign up on the day as a club member then every day there is only £10! Compared to the £30 ish you can spend easily elsewhere, it is a cheap and fun day out!

Ok, cool, that sounds like a plan. Im struggling to find where it is though, i cant find directions anywhere on the site, is there a website for it?

Jon

Hope your day was good. Shame about your coolant but hey ho... **** happens :D

Was it busy? Kept thinking what a great day for driving round newbourne :(

I tried to find the source of the bearing like noise, but think its in my head.
All wheel bearings seem good, checked and topped up diffs and t/box and greased her nipples.

Matt, I'll call tomorrow.
Ran out of time today.

Yeah had a good day, was a good laugh going round the track. The journey home was uneventful so we thought we would pop into essex off road, ended up popping the radiator bleed cap, managed to find another one and then snapped the top bleed cap as I wa putting it back on after refilling the coolant... ended up with a bolt and araldite blanking off what was left of the cap... worked though and got me home! Im pretty sure theres no engine damage as it drove home spot on but will be bringing my block tester home tonight to double check!

Overall a long, eventful but fun day... couldn't have asked for nicer weather for it...

I wanted a Landy with less electrics so i brought this today:
