Thank you very muchly to Stu, George, Ian, Brian and our new boy which I can't remember his name

Engine and gearbox is back in, workshop is tidier and I have just got back from the workshop for a hot shower and some food. Just worked out it is 60 hours I've not slept for :(

Tomorrow will be the fitting of brake new brake lines, seam sealing a few joints where I've welded and couldn't get to with the chassis in the way then we'll get the fuel tank back in and body dropped back on :D

Then there is spaghetti junction to sort out :(

Sounds like progress is being made.
Hoping to get down tomorrow, albeit only for a few hours. Will ring once I've dropped the kiddies @ the zoo. See you then.

I'm letting him go on the plasma today to cut up my old chassis. I would have let him use the oxy acetylene kit but he'll get a bollocking from the cops if he is caught with a 6ft high cylinder of acetylene in his Landy

Hi Mate. James is going to pm you, a friend of his is selling a disco over at Hanningfield between chelmsford and billericay. think he said the guy wanted 1700 for it but supposed to be a decent one. if james does not contact you let me know and i will get details for you.
Think you can expect to have a rusted boot floor/rear door seals/outriggers. And expect to have to do mechanical repairs before you bolt on any toys.
And as soon as you buy it you will become skint overnight, but you will love it and hate it in equal measure. If you are half decent with a set of spanners you will be ok, plenty of people around to help and give advice.
Geoff.

2K should get you a half good one. Payed £1700 for the wifes one. 3 years ago 96 XS with 130k on the clock but has been sprayed on the front wing & door but I don't wash it so you can't see the paint:D
I've just done the boot & few other bits but keep on top of it & the engine will go on for years.......................just a shame the body won't

You may not have to repair it straight away but little things will always need doing, and sometimes big things. If you get a base model, as its for play, them you will have less fiddly bits to go wrong.
