Essex Landy owner needed

your welcome to come..... hope you don't like your paint there is a lane i am dying to try but its a bit close on some trees(i think i am going to take my snorkle top off and fit a wire mesh over it so it doesn't get broken. The lane is from TL 606 056 to TL 614 053 (O/S Landranger 167) it looks muddy and it crosses a water course (stream)
 
ill tag along if you need more sure ill be back on the road when spyderman is done most of the lanes around Buntingford but never marked then Jai

I would love to come along but ill be hounest i have done any real serious off roading yet and i dont really have off road equipmet like tow ropes or anything to be hounest lol but i would love to come along as im up for learning and im only in potters bar hertfordshire so not to far. I dont have a snorkel fitted but i do have so fairly meaty off road tyres fitted as the landy came with them so if im welcome you can coun me in. :)

yeah your welcome to tag along i'm sure there will be plenty of ropes and strops on hand if yer do get stuck, you will need propper recovery points tho (jate rings will do the job) i am gonna give 666 GEORGE a ring tomorow night to arrange a planning session

hey thats great i cant wait for it should be a good day just keep us posted. jate rings do they just bolt straight in to the chassis in pre drilled holes and how many would you reconmend back and front one or two? And please dont talk to me about football lol

well me landy is in bits on me drive the fuel tank is drying out ready for welding me drop plate is half off just gotta cut the last 2 bolts.......
 
Right met with Mr 666 last night (nice bloke) and it seems the 25th would be the best date........
please can those of you who are still up for coming PM me so i can get an idea of numbers and vehicles attending (if possable i would like to get a vehicle from each stable of the landrover world i.e. series,90/110/defender,discovery,rangerover,freelander etc )
the plan is to meet for breakfast just outside harlow and head off towards violets lane :D then head back into essex for some lanes then lunch (i will find a pub that does food, not like the ones that were shut last night eh 666) then some more lanes,

p.s. can you let me know what kit you plan to bring along (i.e recovery kit, tools etc) as it would help planning of groups (if there are more than 5 vehicles)

I'd like to come along. My little old Series III is working again, so should be up for that. We found a fantastic Pub last time we were over that way, big gravel car park, good food and great beer. Right next to a really good lane too.
 
Holy smokes iv just remberd i need some jate rings and havnt orderd them NOOOOOO! will i still be able to come along without them? Or has anybody got some i could borrow of someone who is going? and are we meeting at the cross keys cafe by the Mcdonalds of the m11 at 8am still?

i have just replced me starter and am sorting me rear recovery point tonight/tomorow then i wil be ready (nothing like leaving ti to the last second lol) i don't think i will be able to get me winch fitted in time but we shouldn't need it........famous last words lol

i am halfway through fitting my rear recovery point...... i will show you the spreader plate tomorow i think its the most extreem one you will have seen, then its just levels and a tidy up, my co driver (fit bird from work) has pulled out due to lack of baby sitter also i have no CB so i dunno about communications in convoy??
 
HI count me in when u next go as in chelmsford there is about 5 of us with 90s 110s and discos have u tride stapleford by the golf course very good wet and not like a green lane.
