Engine Stand

Just wondering will this hold a gearbox too ? dying to try it untill I get my engine back.

Not at the same time, prob best dismantling on floor into the separate bits, it’s quite long and ally not as strong as the block , I wouldn’t but others might

Yes was thinking about snapping the corners of the allhoy bits off, best not try knowing my track record, must phone the engine place tomorrow they are supposed to be giving me a price this week for rebuild, depending on what it needs.
He said it could be anywhere from 1000 to 1600 so will decide when I get the price weather to go ahead and let them do it or go pick it up

Just as a comparison of prices to see what you get for your cash
I wouldn’t be worried about building up engine if you get the machining done by the engine guys,
Did you take any measurements of bores, crank journals etc beforehand

No didnt take any measurements, dindnt have a clue how to do it, ,
They are going to do all that then tell me what it needs , If it needs anything and how much to do the work, so I can decide then. There is 2 local rebuilders near and this one was recommended by a lot of local garages including the Landrover Specialists . so will hopefully get a decent price.
