Landrover series 2a engine

Good evening all,

Quick question - would a series 2a 2.25 petrol fit straight into a series 3 (1981) petrol? I have an opportunity to get a used 2.25 petrol as a spare?

Absolutely.
If your '81 has the five bearing engine the flywheel and flywheel housing are different and a few other minor things but nothing really important

Thank you it’s a 3 bearing for sale and mines a 3 also
