Mines just done in electrical tapeNeed to re-wrap the engine loom. Anyone recommend some decent heat proof/oil proof wrap?
Same, just dont use the cheap stuff that dries out really quickMines just done in electrical tape
I usually tape it together every 10 to 12 inches and use the convoluted plastic trunking.

And where it's not needed to protect against chaffing I wrap the looms in felt wiring tape, last one I did was the combination fuse and relay boxes for the second alternator and aux circuitry install.

Looks very neat!
left if you mean theseWhich engine mount goes where - as you look at the engine from the front (i.e timing case facing you) is the longer mount on the left or the right? I forgot to take a photo. I’m assuming it’s on the right?

yes long one drivers sideThat’s it. Ah I see so big one on the left as you look at the engine from the front?
I try to keep everything neat and tidy, it'll never look factory I know but the least I can do is make it look like it was meant to be there and done to a decent standard
Most of my new wiring additions are +50% for reserve on feeds and at least +25% for power supplies for reliability.
You should be looking to upgrade your alternator cable and swap out the old 65A unit (I assume Disco or Defender had both 45 & 55A fitted) to the later 100A unit as fitted to a 300Tdi as it is identical in dimensions but ups your current capacity enormously.
Just the feed from the alternator to the starter cable as that is the main power cable fro the battery & pretty much everything feeds off that. That’s a good shout. How much needs to be upgraded to upgrade the alternator?
nrc9771How to I fit the copper/brass collar to this. I got a new injector run off assembly as mine had rusted inside but the new pipe that connects to the fuel line doenst have to collar.
