i like the v8 sound, when it does work it sound great, the rest of the time its quiet!!!!
righty guys and gals ive now aquired the bottom half of engine that is gonna last me a life time!!! its going in over the w/end and it will be up and running by monday!!!
at the moment john if you look at any old heap of miscelanious car parts its as good as it gets but when the pc is installed and ive sorted the interior i will pop over!! i dont think i'm gonna do much to the little dings on the paintwork as it'll aquire a few more of them as its gonna go laneing when its reliable enough!!!
they are definatly o rings on my oil pump side, the one underneath near the sump and the one next to the oil filter.
Yeah Gav, the pipes are swaged and a thin "O" ring sits on the pipe to seal against the swage. I've mentioned it several times in previous posts, when you tighten the cooler hose connection on the bottom of the front cover, don't overdo it as the wall of the boss where the hose goes into is very thin and being over ambitious with the spanner will crack it..result..new front cover at around £200+ (Ouch)!!
You have done well to get her up & running,,,,Well done!!:clap2:
well done gav,i am glad about the motor.if you need anything else let me know, you never know i might be able to find that as well,ha,ha.what size tyres do you want as i have got some, once again well done buddy.:smokin::beer2:raise:
they prolly disappeared when the engine was removed!!
i thort it was compression as mine didnt have any come off when i took the old one out but i reused the front cover so i bet they are wedged in the cover. anyone know what size they are or if you have any about could you measure em thick ness and ID please
see if you can find me the winning lotto ticket for next friday!!
i'm after 18 inch ones, i got the 18 inch hurricane wheels and scorpion st's at the moment but the front are like slicks as i intended replacing all 4 before the thing died!
i will try for the tyres though, any particular make.
