Easiest Landy for DIY maintenance?

Ok the hammer and duct tape settles it for me.
The idea is that it will be used to get firewood,tow a trailer and get me up a hill in Wales when it gets muddy.Plus I need something that I can just get in and drive with my boots on and not worry about scratching the bodywork.
Mileage will not be great.
