EAS Compressor - 3.5mm hex?

The little grub bolt holding the compressor arm and counter weight - is that a 3.5mm hex bolt? A 3mm just skips though and a 4mm wont engage.

Stupid question, right? But, if you try and find a hex set anywhere that has a 3.5mm key they don't seem to exist 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 4.5, 5, 5.5 etc but no 3.5mm!

It is 1/8" Allen set screw. If you try with a 3 mm you will knacker it. Make sure you use a good 1/8" Allen key fully engaged with steady pressure.
 
Cheers - managed to get a hold of a 1/8" and it's come out fine :)

If you change the piston seal also change the cylinder. Check the inlet and exhaust reeds are set correctly and the exhaust O'ring is secure and in good shape.

I'll be ordering another repair kit for a 2nd 'spare' that I have - I'll make sure to replace the cylinder for that one (read your reply too late for this one). Have done the piston seal and both O rings on this one as well as the inlet filter.
 
I'm testing this on a work bench. It's not possible to stop the air from escaping from the pipe however you can hear the tone of the motor change and slow down. Would this be due to a poor power supply?
 
Last question!

Is it advisable to de-pressurise the system using the EAS software to replace the compressor?
