I will try with a mini grinder/ polisher because the piston is still in the compressor because I am unable to unscrew the Alan key holding the piston crank against the centr shaft
problem overhauling eas compressor help!

have you taken the top of the cylinder off revealing the teflon /piston head? you can crank it round so the piston is protruding enough to get the end washer thingy off

Yes I have managed to pry open the washer ring that holds the seal whilst the piston is still attached with the compressor but I used a small thin screwdriver and typed the ring enuf so that I can remove all of the old seal

good .. just take your time to clean it up.. make as clean as possible it will be fine
