I have a 2003 l322 vogue.the passenger door won't open all other doors work fine on c/locking and they also work with the button on dash, the button on the door also goes up and down ,both inside and outside handles don't work and have no resistance when trying to open . Anyone got any ideas ? If I have to take the door panel off how am I gonna get it off with the dash and the seat in the way ? "All I want for Xmas is my door to open"
Happy crimson everyone

I had this a few weeks ago, the cable inside the door snaps

Ebay for 10ish quid, door card off, then renew the cable. Loads of info and how too's about it. Just need to search

RANGE ROVER L322 FRONT DOOR CONTROL RELEASE CABLE OE | eBay

The handles both inside and externally are operated on a cable system and the cable popped out of the locator on the inside of the external door handle (does that make sense?!). Its a case of unscrewing the door card which is held by 2 or 3 visible tork bits, one near the internal door pull, one in the door pocket and one under the airbag badge at the top rear of the panel.

Thanks for the help guys ,but how do I get the door card off as the dash over laps the door which would stop me getting it off with out bending the hell out of it.

Ahhhh sorry, you have that issue with the door closed. Only option is to butcher the door card off and get a replacement off ebay if you can find one? Or from the main dealer if your feeling particularly flush.

Orr butcher the door handle and scuff cup underneath off where you can access the latch to manualy release it. and get a replacement scuff plate and handle

So if I use an angle grinder to cut the handle off then I should be able to get to the lever etc to open it ? At least the handle would be cheaper than a door card and less work .
Thanks guys

just today changed one of my lock actuators that decided it only wanted to lock and not unlock remotely !

luckily door could be manually opened from inside.

took 10 mins. easier than i thought it would be :)

Ok thanks guys, now I can hope for a door handle in the old stocking in the morning and not socks.
Have a good one.

Oldford this happened to me mate ! Try pulling the little plunger thing up on top of door card an wiggle it also try lockin an unlockin your car . It is possible the cable has snapped BUT wat you describe was my problem exactly until i d this an NO repeat problems so far let us know if it works mate

Anyone know if its possible to use one of those slides you put down between the glass and rubber to open the door (like the police and car thieves use) before I start grinding the door handle off or is there a plate of some sort stopping that happening.

If there is such a solution can you pm him rather than telling the world on an open forum.

we don't want a spate of rangie thefts now do we?

as far as i know the BMW locking system fitted to these is very secure.

when deadlocked none of the latches within the door will unlock the mechanism as the actuator disconnects all corresponding door release cables when deadlocked.

you could always cut a hole in the outside of the door ?

then pick up a second hand door off the bay for around £60, re-spray and the jobs a good'en ! :p

Yes it is sorted, there is a clip on the end of the cable that came off.have pm d you to let you know how
