hello fellow range rover owners
I have a problem with the o/s door lock on my dear range rover P 38 4 lt v 8 petrol
Problem is I went to open drivers door from inside and the handle went clonk it lost its spring leaving it in the pulled out position I open the window to open it with the outside handle but it will not move stuck tight my problem is as you will know that not being able to open door I cannot get the door card off or can I.
if someone can come up with an idea as to how I can go about it I would be very grateful for any ideas

If you drop the glass as suggested then pull off the drip sealt ,that will give you a bit more room to get a light and a long hook in. The cable has unhooked from the inner handle,or snapped.

this is the first sensible reply. Hope to fix with part No FVF10002L waiting for it to come
It good to hear from you thanks for jour conser

It must my age but I am sorry I don t understand the wit I did really think the site was to pass on help but to help one another now days it not COOL i assume that s the trouble with being an old fart
Your in good company if your also an old fart.Age doesn't bar you from having a sence of humour. We like to think of it as therapy I see you are a relatively new member, I would have thought you would have had perused the site for a while before taking the plunge.I don't know how long you'ver been a RR owner but it wont be long before your as mad as the rest of us. There are other more "serious" forums available if this one doesn't meet your needs.:p:rolleyes:

That part is a plastic clip.hope you haven't paid the £12.98 price tag.if you had bothered to post the problem I'm sure somebody on here would have sent you one,I've got a couple in the garage, not only do we have a sence of humour but we are firm believers in helping other members,Pay it forward works on here.

Stick with us you'll soon be as mad. BUT also stick with us and you'll always get help. The banter helps relieve the stress and tension off owning a Range Rover.
By the way if it is that clip I just covered mine in epoxy resin and left it to set
