Disklok or Adrenaline 4x4 pedal lock?

Simple as that really! Unless there's another option in that price bracket?

Any experiences gratefully recieved. I have a worry that the Disklok is going to get in the way when not fitted, and damage my steering wheel, and a concern on the pedal lock system that I'll be forever grovelling round in mucky footwells fitting it.

I'd go steering lock if I had to choose between the 2 as it's immediately visible from a distance, whereas the thieves would already be nosing around to notice the pedal lock. Both would be the best option though.

I've got both.
The pedal lock is quite bulky, so I tend to only use that when it's at home on it's own. The steering lock will go behind the seats, just, or I tend to put it in the passenger footwell when out and about.

I have a disclock and it fits quite well in behind the chubby box, bought the bag with it doesn't rattle. As has been said most visible and morelikelytouse of the two.

both!!! the disclok is more obvious from a distance, but I feel the pedal lock is more secure but isn't obvious just glancing in

I've got both on my Defender. The Disclok doesn't damage or mark the steering wheel, but it is fairly bulky and heavy. The pedal lock is easy to use and has a flashing light to make it more visible, although you'd have to look in the footwell to see it.

I pop my Disklok behind the front passenger seat when it is not on the steering wheel where it stays out of the way. So it's not intrusive in the cab when not in use.

As already said - both!
Disclock won't damage your steering wheel; I've got one on my other car which has an alcantara wheel and it doesn't mark it at all.

Again, fit both.
Disklok sell a cover that fits over the steering wheel (prior to that I slipped an old pillow-case over it as it does the same job), been using mine for about 4-years without any marks to the leather.
For ease of use the X-Eng pedal lock is good as it doesn't have to be stored out of the way.
Also consider the X-Defend Column Lock, a passive device that once fitted protects the steering lock.

Of course having both (or just one) is no use if you don't use them. I have the habit of using my security devices EVERY TIME I get out of the vehicle (fuel fill-ups excepted).
Paying for fuel - remove isolator key and lock doors.
Buying paper - remove isolator key and use pedal lock.
Longer shop - use everything.
Home - use everything plus security posts.

Both, plus fuel cut off and a twin siren 120db per sounder alarm system, one of which is in the cab. sirens have battery backup

Which ever one you will still be bothered to fit an a couple of months, personally I'd go for something visable but better still something that comes on automatically like a decent immobiliser or tracker

Agree, I have a Disclock, plus a cheap and cheerful handbrake / gearstick lock, plus a cheap and cheerful tracker.

Marmaduke got a fantastic result from his tracker, which was Skytag.

I know I haven't got the repetitive discipline to use stuff like disk locks or pedal locks

I've only started locking it at night since I had it stolen

Thanks guys. I guess I'm of the opinion that if they REALLY want to steal it, they will. However I have just ordered a disklok on the basis that if I'm leaving it in a supermarket car park etc they might think twice as trying to get one of these off should at least raise suspicions of passers by. I'll probably add a basic alarm too, and then hope that they look at it and decide that they'd be better focusing their efforts on something a bit newer and more desirable!

I have the disc lock for the very same reason but I also have the pedal cover , the one that is permanently bolted to the floor ,, so no storage issues on that,, highly recommend both and easier enough to use that you actually do use them .. added extra bolts to the pedal box so they would have to remove half the car before getting it off .. and only took an hour to fit. Was pricey but well worth it for the ease of use in my book
