Thank you for your help so far guys and if I can ever return the favour please ask, (,If you need anything sprayed up)

it is not a problem with the alarm? if the pump does not run but if you put power to the pump direct it does then maybe the imobiliser system has a problem it cuts more than one thing so you can not bypass is easy try locking all up then unlocking also try disconnecting battery leaving for a bit then reconnecting it seams odd more than one thing has gone wrong at same time unless there is a earth problem / bad connection somewhere

If it was immobilised then it would not turn over.

Cheers

You might have a point there, The alarm does go off from time to time, Maybe check that tomorrow but where to start lol,

I think you have an issue with the 12v not being at the main relay or the main rekay is fubarred. From what you have described.

Stupid thing, have you tried pressing the inertia button?

Cheers

Yes pressed that and bridged it with a wire, If that's the right thing to do

Check to see if you have 12V at the main relay contacts

number 30 and 85

For the sake of your sanity I would invest in one, or find someone nearby who has got one.
It will not tell you much about fuel pressure sadly - you will need a suitable gauge for that (4 bar at the fuel pressure reg BTW), but it would let you rule out a lot of other stuff like ECU Top Switch fault and a dodgy crank position sensor. Nanocom is probably the most most comprehensive and certainly best for live data, but there are cheaper options like Hawkeye Total that will do 95% of the same stuff for less money and cover most LRs rather than needing extra (£££) software for each one.

Just looking at this and it reminds me of my problem exactly the same symptoms, changed the main relay and away it went.
Hope this may help you.

Thanks Ray,

I will have a look into that , appreciate your comments lads,

check the yellow relays next to the ecu, make sure connections are clean and tight also check the earth near the ecu. Does your temp gauge to straight to the red on initial start up?

It's your relays. Get someone to turn the engine on give them a saddle and you should hear the pump run and the temp gauge to down to blue. Give it a try possibly a cheap fix.
