Just a general observation about buying Disco TD5's, they are at their cheapest for years, buy now while stocks last.

I bought my last one about 2 months ago for £1240, the one I've just bought is a 2001 ES and I paid £1750.

Be patient and you'll get a perfectly serviceable TD5 for under £2000 leaving plenty from your budget to fûck about with - sorry modify :D:D

well i got my finger crossed i can get one that cheap but at the moment the only ones i can see are close to the 3k mark and all have about 150k + miles on them

The mileage isn't a worry at all for me. My last one had 158,000 on the clock when I bought her, and after giving her a good service she ran like a bird and very good on juice - for a vehicle of this type. 35mpg on a 65mph run.
