Hi I have a brill disco 4 (owned for 7 years) but have an intermittent problem. When car is parked and locked the headlights flash irregularly. I have tried pressing the light switch on the key fob but this does not stop the issue. I have also tried switching car on and off and also switching light switch to off completely. Anyone come across this before or what cause is or how to fix? Thanks in advance.

Try a google search as I believe the car has to be told what sort of headlamps it has fitted, ie hid/halogen etc.

Any recent repairs? even if totally unrelated.

Have looked on google and not found a similar issue. I think must be a faulty relay or faulty key fob, but more likely a Relay problem?? Would that sound plausible

If it was a relay I reckon you would hear it clicking, if it was one headlamp then I would say it was the hid ballast unit, but as its both headlamps you need to work back from there.
Really need a wiring diagram to see what is what, might be something on google?

Might sound daft, but might pay to get codes read, and there will be lots of codes, so you might need to read/delete then read again to see what fault if any are currently visible.

Thanks Lynall will get the codes read. Really appreciate your help.

AFAIK there should be the ''follow me home'' setting available from the end of the stalk menu. If you find it turn that option off and if the symptom goes away means that there might be a problem in the CJB cos there's the management for that.
