Td5 central locking (another one)

Hi the locking on my TD5 Disco 2 will unlock on the key and the fob, but it will not lock on the key or the fob but it will lock and unlock on the switch in the dash, have had super lock, immobiliser, driving locking and alarm turned off as the car was parked up while I did some work on it, every thing else works fine, with my limited knowledge and equipment the ECU seems to get a signal from the receiver but does not seem to send a signal, We have tried another door lock and another ECU but nothing worked, it is like something is not set correctly in the BCU.

Hi, you are kind'a mixing thing up here, first of all te ECU has nothing to do with the central locking, only the BCU, which door lock did you replace, the driver's? also if you try to lock the driver's door with the key that one will lock or not?

Sorry my mistake mend BCU not ECU and no it will not lock with the key it will only lock all four doors with the button on the dash

Then the problem is probably in that latch assy cos there is the microswitch which commands the central locking but if you are 100% sure that the latch is not faulty it might be a wiring issue on the lock microswitch's output line to the BCU or with the BCU, i's not a setting issue. You must know to work with diagrams to troubleshoot that
