Well today i have just sat down and ordered a new water pump, original (suit you sir).. and the camshaft kit made sure all the bearing bits belts etc were oem so hopefully it'll all be good. Also ordered the kit of pins like the one on paddocks.... only cheaper.... the last thing I think I might have to invest in is the little crank shaft pully puller... thingumy... jiggy thing.... :wtf: as I want to do the crank shaft and cam shaft oil seals at the same time........ Thats a point forgot the crank shaft oil seal on the order.... BUM!!!!

Hopefully early next year :high5: but as I said I've got to face a cold hard winter first :D I like to drive on with projects so I can get to the fun bits. I feel like once I get it road worthy then I can take my time and fettle.... Thinking I may re trim the seats with Exmoor trim kit as well... They are a bit knackered and now have rather a lot of metal bits embedded from grinding and welding....

I was aiming for March/April finish but lost my barn space, but convinced my bosses to let me have a 20sqm shed that they will convert into a workshop for me FOC :D:D so will get that sorted then get it indoors again and build a heater for this Arctic winter we are supposed to have

Jammy sod!!! ;) wish I had one... unfortunately mine will have to be finished on the drive... boooo ... it is part of my criteria when we move house next that I have workshop and a double garage. .. :D

I am looking for a new house soley for this reason. I'm moving to get a nice big garage. Couldn't care less wat the house is like. Wouldn't be spendin much time in it anyway if I have a nice big workshop!! :D

On a more depressing note my rear diff blew up this morning. Left stranded in middle of dual carriageway. Was not a happy bunny to say the least.

Mate! Sorry to hear that bud.... have you been able to diagnose the reason?

Diffs been making off noises an very sloppy for a while. It was on my never ending list of things to do but she beat me to it an blew up! Havnt taken diff or half shafts out yet to see which or all have gone. Had to jump underneath in rush hour traffic and whip rear prop off, diff lock it and limp home. Not one of the best days I've ever had.

Ouch!!!

Ouch mate... whats the likely cause of that? Is it just wear and tear? Or is it something more sinister? ......

Mainly wear an tear but it looks like this had led to the retaining washer on the pinion shaft to become dislodged an the pinions have broke Loose and been caught up in crown wheel and chewed Through diff castings.
