disco wont go

bought a disco TDI 300series Mreg, without a fob, just thought some did not have remote c/l ,had no trouble just used key to get in it then suddenly put key in ignition to start, the dash lights up but when you turn the key nothing .no clicking just nothing ,iwas told to buy a new alarm box with a fob as my immobilizer had decided to now work,so after much searching found AMR2109 with fob ,changed the alarm box pressed the fob did not make any differance so much for that idea also the rear door still wont open c/l still bounces.any way getting back to wont start anybody got a clue???ta...neil

Did you program the fob to your new alarm? There is a very precise set of things you have todo before it will work....can't remmeber them to be honest as i've never had to do it.

should,nt have to as i bought the alarm box and fob off the same vehicle

You are into proper electricker there mate, just cos you bought alarm box and fob off one vehicle dunt mean it will work like that on yours! Might be armed after battery conection for example.

These people http://www.avon-automotive.co.uk/orted are very good but their sites down and they only do trade now:So that's a lot o kin good in it?
I know that pre 1996 you can programme fobs yourself after that it's a garage job!

As for yeh back door take LR logo off handle with a small screwdriver and blast some wd40 in there and a dose of wiggling handle sorts it!!
