Disco suspension problems

New post from a newby- I have a disco TD5 2003 model - Right rear wheel sinks slowly down to its lowest point whenever the engine is turned off. Raises and levels again with the engine on. Air leak? Where?
Nothing obvious to be seen at the rear end on a cursory inspection.
Anyone else had this problem? Off to Scotland in a couple of days so it it is dangerous to drive the hols are off.

Air leak may be, paint soapy water over the pipe joints and all over the air bag, do it sooner than later as the pump will be running all the time to compensate for the loss and will over heat and burn out and they are expensive i believe.

...and if it does burn out fear not...I am happy to sell you mine!

Thanks all. The link was great - this man really knows how to teach. I think I will risk driving it to the dealer as the compressor doesn't make any noise - that I can hear - and get both bags replaced..Time is the driver otherwise I think I could follow the instructions in the link quite easily.
I will let you know how it goes and the pain of getting it done in Belgium which I expect to be MUCH more than in UK.

Hi guys,
My 2002 Disco TD5 also has a leak from the rear right spring, so I bought myself a pair of new air springs. (As a matter of fact, the courier brought them 15 mins ago).
I have several questions and will be very happy if you guys can help me.
Inside the box, together with the springs, Britpart added a fitting info sheet and it says that "The air connector should not be removed from the air spring. Instead please cut off a small amount the adjoining hose and leave it attached to the air connector". Why is it so? What actually holds the air hose into the air connector? Do I just push the hose inside the connector, if yes how much, and how do I understand that it's been fitted correctly.
