What is the tell tale????? There was a socket on it but the original restorer cut these wires & left them hanging below the tub!!!The relay is a single feed to the switch, so it wont be that, from memory G/W is off side, G/R is near side, these go to the switch then to hazard switch. Did you pull the tell tale? That bulb is the only feed leakage across both circuits. This is why people have problems with LED's.
Is there a trailer socket fitted? If so, disconnect it.
Is the tell tale dash light bright on both left and right?
Tell tale is the bulb that lights up on the dash /instrument panel. What is the tell tale????? There was a socket on it but the original restorer cut these wires & left them hanging below the tub!!!
The Tell tale doesnt light up!!!!!! Hazard light flashes the trailer light but the Tell tale doesnt light up at all!!!!Tell tale is the bulb that lights up on the dash /instrument panel.

We checked all the fuses and although one or two were the wrong current they all made their circuit. We know the Hazard unit works! The power is going to the indicators fine as they work in Hazard mode but the stalk has been replaced with two others with the same effect. The loom comes under the hub on the drivers side and a lesser on the other side but the indicators seem to be getting a false feed for the other side. This seems like a short between the two sides but we are at a loss to determine if its one side or the other, both come on at once!
Its time consuming & irritating. Just want to burn the bloody thing!!!! Hahahaha
Theyre all 12V but its the ampage/current flow that they controlPull each fuse one by one for both sides, this might tell you which side is at fault, also get the tell tale working, do that first, look for the tell tale dimming when you indicate left or right.
The loom comes up into the tub on the drivers side rear, it then splits there, the wires are all joined with bullet connectors then it goes back down and across the rear cross member to the other side, check its all connected up correctly there, thats the ideal point to make a mistake and bridge both sides.
You mean voltage?
Sorry for the silly colours,
Theyre all 12V but its the ampage/current flow that they control
The one fuse controls both sides!!!
You were right about separate fusesOne fuse? Ok, so the fault is between the switch and the lamps, unplug the harness from the main (bulkhead) and power it up with your probe.
Basically you need to go through each wire run with the probe and test to see where its crossing over.
Some of the new switches and relays are a bit pants. The original Lucas variety are pants too, but seem to work a bit better. Thanks everyone. Got it sorted. The hazard switch was replaced by a new one and gave the issue but another came front a donor Landrover and the circuit was corrected. All is working well. Thanks again
