Engine code? Do you mean the engine number?Hi could anyone tell me where the engine code is on a 1999 p38 diesel please thanks Andy
They should only need the numbers off the alternator body.yes I'm trying to order a alternator and that's what they asked for thanks Andy

At what rev's is it putting out 13v? think the earlier diesels have a lower set point, mine is 13.97 1998 with alternator number A13VI18. Dansk industries id X07791/4 if they can cross reference it.![]()
Should all be 14.2 Alan. Except petrols fitted with 150 amp unit which is 14.5.
Mine is rated less than 150 amp think its about 90, on the whisky at the mo getting ready for tomorrows departure but I will post tomorrow morning. In a pleasant state presently![]()
All doozels from year one should be 105 amp. Have a good do, you will be a lot warmer than i will be for the next three weeks you jammy bugger.![]()
Think Keith posted in the last few days that the earlier models had a lower voltage set point
Early diesels 95/96 had alternator set point at 13.76 volts, not a lot of use with a new battery.
Directly off the alternators from a 95 and a 96Where did you get that information from Keith? As far as i am aware the P38 2.5 has always had the 105 amp unit with a set point of 14.2.
Directly off the alternators from a 95 and a 96Original items too. May well be random use of old stock as is LR's standard practice.
