Yeah, snow would be awesome, if we manage to get to Bakewell in the first place...

Ian(MrIFan) is a pro on laning and he says there should be max 4 in a group at weekends, so I'm going with that.

I don't mind scratchy as long as it doesn't knock my new lights off :D

I def like the breakfast idea

Its awesome as long as your not at work, out in the cold all day! The Ninety and its awesome heater and various air scoops on the other hand are awesome in snow!

hmmm, with the number we are taking 4 per group sounds good.....But if its like last time, I think six was a good number!

As for scratches, all part and parcel isnt it? Saves time rubbing down when it comes to repaint in the future! :p

Haha, true. My heater is actually ok.

I guess it depends on how busy the lanes are...

Some sleet forecast for the 6th, so hopefully that will turn to snow.

6 is a good group size in the week but on a Saturday or Sunday, depending on the weather, we are likely to be sharing some of the lanes with groups of walkers and horses. You'll also see the sign in the picture on quite a few of the lanes, so no point giving the antis any extra ammo.

Last time I went landing in the Peaks it was on a Monday which felt great, as for heaters I've just swapped the engine from a 19j to a 300tdi and the heater is now rubbish, a bit of investigation is called for or a muff (not the 1970's type)

If it's sign posted then that goes without question!
Although if it's an unrestricted route, everyone is sensible and you give other users priority 6 shouldn't be a problem in my opinion, especially in winter!

3 groups of 4 should be good though, splits it up nicely actually.

My heater isn't bad, it's just he various inbuilt air scoops that seam to come and go as they please ;)

I'll be toasty as hell while I wait for someone to tow me out... :p

I think it will probably be 7 or 8 turning up, if the weather is really bad then fewer! Agree smaller groups is ideal, but two groups is easier! Especially arranging meet ups and the like!

I've just come across the M62 and if the snow is as deep around the peaks as it is by the little house on the prairie then I'd recommend a shovel and a flask of summat hot

We've got 4-6" in the fields but up to a foot or more where it has settled on some of the sheltered lanes.
That's not a problem in it's self but once it has been driven on and then frozen it is bloody lethal!
However, with 2 weeks before we play it could all change yet :D

I just vote at whoever leads the groups has a better sense of direction than I do... Otherwise I'll be explaining to Mr. policeman officer why I drove 3 land rovers through someone's back garden and into their living room.

Snow should be fun! If we can see the lane....

My mate John has a winch on front of his lightweight for pulling trees out the way!

Had a great day today checking some lanes out with Ian.

There are some great challenging ones, some which took a few attempts, diff lock and low box. A warning though, they are pretty scratchy. I snapped my CB ariel off, I never even got to test it!

Be careful with what you write - this is a public forum. Don't write anything contentious that the numpties can use against us
'some great challenging ones, some which took a few attempts, diff lock and low box' does not help our cause
