MrIfan too I think.

If we have missed anyone copy the post and add on so we have a list in one place.

Yep, with a bit of luck I should be in :)

I'll catch up with James over the next day or two to sort the route. In the mean time I have sacrificed my time over the weekend to struggle through the snow and ice to check on some of the lanes:D
Note how my half arsed snow clearing perfectly camouflages the bonnet with the ruts in the lane!!

That looks great fun, the ruts line up perfectly with the bonnet!

I've been saying to my brother for ages let's go derby off roading but never looked into it. We might be down for meeting though we only live in Leicester. Anyone found any maps?

what sort of time and where to meet up?

I need to finalise the route with James but I would suggest the Yonderman Cafe on the A623 at Wardlow Mires (near the junction with the B6465). It does a cracking breakfast for reasonable money and is less than a mile from the first lane. As for time how about 9:30 for anyone wanting breakfast ready for a 10:15 set off?

On a different note, is anybody overly worried about their paintwork? The heavy snowfall combined with high winds over the last few weeks has brought down several trees and parts of trees so some of the lanes will be quite scratchy. I'll get out and check most of them but doubt I'll get time to do them all before the 7th.
Also if anyone has a chainsaw, and knows how to use it, could you bring it along and join the first group (assuming we have to split due to numbers). We may have to clear the way on some of the lanes. On the plus side that means loads of logs for those with proper fires :D

We had to chop a tree last time we went laning that fell with the snow, luckily we had a hand saw.

Sounds good, my mate John and his mate are coming, so that's +2 Trucks.

They are on here, just busy boys!

No chainsaw... Just an angle grinder! :p

If I promise to behave myself and to bring Uncle Stihl and his friends petrol can and chain oil please can I tag along:p

Bring Auntie Stella Artois and you've got a deal! :p

Should be fine buddy, gotta check numbers.

HRH is still coming. Just gone a bit quiet for no apparent reason. I'll be joing you this time to but only as gate bitch. The freelander is staying at home.

Well, if I can get hold of a good map, possibly a good print off from somewhere.... and a co pilot I might be up for tootling around and getting lost a few times ;) But I think if it gets much bigger we may have to stick a limit on it?!

On another note, my Ninety is more or less back together, all the cables are run in for what I want, just need to add the fixtures now, the hard work is done!

 gate bitch tickled me! :p

I'm here, I'm here. This is shaping up to be an epic trip, though might need a volunteer to lead the 3rd group!

Bonjour, your excellency! :D 3rd group?!? This could be big, though there were 8 or so people last time! Hopefully be alright.

I'll just follow you, stare at the back of your 90 all day like last time and wonder if you brought a smoke machine... :D

Glad you finished those 3 wires though. Jk. :clap2:

At least my lights don't fall out! ;)

I'm going to give mine a good service this time before we go, New fuel and oil filters, New sedimentor to go on and an oil change! :D I'm sure that was why it was so bad last time haha. On the other hand, maybe yours doesn't smoke enough!
