the dirt helps hold it all together
Thought I had better introduce myself to the tread. I have been invited to come along but not had a chance to come say hello sooner. I believe I have been put down as Pagin 2 (Jon's friend)
Very much looking forward to this trip as I haven't been laning in this area before.

:welcome2:
There are some really good lanes.
Just realised my MOT on my 90 runs out on the 2nd, wouldn't it be a sad day if I had to drop out?!
I'm gonna pay to get my handbrake cable done I think, I just don't have the enthusiasm to do it myself!
Whoa! Be interesting to see how much they charge for changing the handbrake cable.
Pagin, the dirt will probably hold your lights in place mate.....
Even my Freeby isn't clean and that's just my work car....
yeah we can meet in Ashbourne. Sounds good!
I'll have you know... Errrr.... You're probably right...
Though dirt might stop yours smoking like a forest fire...
I'll be going through Matlock as I'll be fuelling up at mozzers in Belper on the way, hoping for a diet bacon sanger before we start to
Smoking was cool in '86 alright? hehehe
I don't know about anyone else, but if I was coming from ashborune to get to the other side of bakewell, matlock would be out of the way slightly.
I'm not sure what route James was thinking of convoying though?

im coming from bury in lancs so a little trek for me setting out at 6ish so see you for brekie
Mate of mine has a shop in Swinton Motorcycle Clothing & Accessory Shop UK Adventure Bike Warehouse and traffic permitting it takes about an hour from there. Come via the M67, turn right at the end and come via Broadbottom and Charlesworth and over Monks road to the A624. Saves all the traffic on the A57 and in Glossop

Thanks Ian, it was great fun
I wont quote your post so it doesn't fill the thread.
I got the route working in basecamp (it looks good), so will see if I can translate it to memory maps. Does one other person have a tablet with memory maps (or something similar) with os maps that could maybe lead the third group if we get enough people? If not ill see if I can print something out...
Mot is booked tomorrow, so should have plenty of time to fix anything.
No worries, we'll have to sort out a time and placecould meet on the a6 in matlock
