Just got my insurance with flux was with Tesco but saved £200 for the same cover
Don't go to Adrian Flux.
If you ever have to make a claim for an accident or a theft you'll be arguing all the way through the process.
When my last Defender was stolen in November 2012 I was made to feel as though I had set the whole thing up with the questions I was asked. When they eventually decided to settle the claim they sent me an offer which I tried to refuse on the grounds of I had a guaranteed valuation when first took the policy out which they refused to honour and then the process of more questions continued including a questioner which had to be filled in by the Police.
In the end the claim was settled but I didn't get nowhere near what the vehicle was worth so I wouldn't go to them again and I would advise anyone else to steer clear of them.
Sorry to go on a bit but they really got on my bits with their attitude towards me at that time.
For an insurance company that claims to be a Land Rover or Classic Car specialist Insurer I personally think they are an insult and a joke to the industry.
Fingers crossed you never have to get embroiled in a claim!
+1
Out of interest was it a company working on behalf of AF that dealt with the claim?
Yeah it was but I can't remember who it was ( I'll have a look through the paperwork tomorrow) I tried going direct to AF to complain and got nowhere
They are a complete joke. I wouldn't insure anything through them again.Yes I've just tried that. Adrian Flux just said there was nothing they could do as they do t have their own claims team
What about Lancaster they seemed reasonable to me?
thanks for some input sounds as if adrian flux despite a good quote will be given a wide berth, one thing about the nfu if you are unfortunate enough to have to claim seems to be ok. despite being about 70 quid more for wat apears to be similar cover..
I'd rather spend the extra 70 quid and have no stress in an insurance claim
I may well be looking at NFU for renewal. Do the cover for green laning?
My NFU policy excludes: business use, racing, speed testing, competition, rallies, trials and track days, motor trade use and professional driving instruction. No mention of "off tarmac" as an exclusion.
They underwrite their own policies so if you have any queries, ring them. I've always dealt with the Stoneleigh office - brilliant!
