Well the new crusty 300tdi Def 90 axle is a straight swap onto the puma should keep me going for a little bit.

Need to figure out the rear tub situation…as my wooden plank might not be seen as great in the eyes of the law 😅

My hicap tub light piller has snapped in three different locations possibly beyond repair? :(
Just cover the wheels(truck arches) and all will be good.

And just by chance I'm going to be selling a 110 front axle converted to rear wheel steer. New brackets etc, diff flipped. End plates rotated for caster. All new bearings, seals, diff rebuilt, callipers. Blasted and sprayed with a full zinc/tar/topcoat system. Mentioned in case you have any mates with more money than sense....
Definitely have more money than sense but still broke as fuk 🙃 I’m off to google rear steer axles never seen one… well besides the one I’ve just taken off 😂

Spoke to a friend who built hi cap tubs and says you will struggle to rebuild these. Twin skinned and has to be built in jigs.
(These were built/painted in the rough at Peugeot site before been shipped to landrover)

It's relatively simple. You turn a front axle around, but because the diff needs to be on the right you also have to flip the axle. That means all the bracketry has to be moved up top etc. The axle end plates have to come off and be rotated to get the caster back where it should be. Looks good to go. Except the diff is now upside down and will drive backwards as the front heads forwards. So, diff out and remake the hole, turn the pan upside down. Bolt it back in. And everything's right in the world.

Two jobs to do. You could use normal front strut/springs/towers - but they'd have to come up through the load bay wheel boxes (like the fronts come up into the engine bay). My plan was to use the std springs, but make up new radius arms it with a lower shock mount on and put the top pins in the right place on the chassis rail for a slightly laid down longer stut. Steering was to be with an electric ram and also to have a pin to drop in and positively lock it centred. In my case it was partly for fun and because it's a very long wheelbase.it would make parking a breeze.

That’s fantastic and does sound slightly expensive 😂 Would definitely be useful for 130/utility/tipper etc. Best of luck with your sale 👍
