Defender 90 TD5 rear wash wiring loom from dash switch to pump?

Hello everyone,

I'm sorry to post this as a separate topic, as i tried before in a less specific sense. I had some great help and advice, but haven't solved the final bit yet.

I am fitting a rear wash system (complete from scratch because it wasn't specified / fitted from factory). The rear door wiring loom has been purchased and trial fitted, along with wiper motor, arm, blade, pipe, jet etc etc. At the dash, the switch has been purchased and the connector for it was already there in the dash, plugged into a dummy switch. All good.

I have had a look at the reservoir bottle end and confirm there is no pump (now purchased) nor wiring loom / connector (that i can see) unless it's pretty well hidden.

My question is whether the wiring from the dash switch connector does make it's way through the bulkhead and is sat there on nearside / front somewhere? I am going to take off the dash top (maybe lower dash also) to have a look and see if I can trace the wiring. Just before I do that, has anyone done this before that can confirm whether the loom is there and or where it might be?

Before asking general electrical questions, do you have a workshop manual with wiring diagrams? If not, buy one and learn how your 90 is wired. You will need it.
 
These days I find myself using the wiring diagrams on the LR workshop website, despite having the electrical manual. Nice and colourful too, so I don't have to remember all those letter codes (what's NU again? Brown with a blue stripe?).

My TD5 has a separate pump for the rear washer, adjacent to the reservoir, and the tube goes up the front passenger side A pillar and from there to the rear nozzle.

Bit of a diversion. Fitted the csi ultimate front washer today. Wow, what a disappointment, but could be pump not up to it. I had a reasonable “flow” from the old one (original / OEM) but was the usual below par experience. The new (very expensive unit) was worse than before - a lot worse!! I even changed the pump for a new one and it was no better. I have new rear ones coming (I read they are more powerful than the front ones) so will try that before trying to return the csi one. I tried to find the non return valve, only to find a joiner, so I guess it was removed previously? Anyone else been surprised (badly). ?
 
I know you don't want to hear it but I find my standard TD5 system works just fine.
Britpart washer jet and cheapy Ebay special washer bottle works fine on my son's Ninety.

I have said it before and I will say it again the best modification I ever did to my 110 was to fit wiper mounted spray bars. originally from a 405 out the scrap yard but now from here (LINK). Becasue they are about 10mm form the screen pressure is not a problem and the standard pump is fine, the holes in the bulkhead to run pipe already exist as they are the holes for the left hand drive wipers, and all you need a y-piece to fit in the pipe where the current washer jet is and some length of pipe run through the wiper gourmets. I have done this to all three of my defenders and stand by it is the most basic but best modification going.
