Given the L322 computer screen is there any way to add DAB radio and the ability to stream through the system.

There are hints of threads that satnav/radio unit from later ranges can be used or one from an X5. Not sure what actually involved though.

In fact is updating the maps on the existing system as easy as buying the newest CD and popping it in the navigation unit in the boot?

Not clear on whats possible.

Updating the navigation maps on my FL2, was simply a case of getting the latest available disc, which goes in the navigation system disc drive.
My Freelander also did a software update from the latest disc, which took about 20 minutes, but was a painless exercise.

Adding DAB on the Freelander and Discovery 3 is possible, but those use a Ford based electronics system.

I'm guessing the BWM based system would also be possible, but you'll need to add the necessary components, and have the vehicle software updated to include the additional functionality it will have.

Sounds like too much trouble and expense. Done without dab so far i think ill manage for a while longer. I think i will just get the update disc.

If my FL2 wasn't fitted with DAB (it was an option) then I'd probably not bother fitting it, even though it's not super difficult. It's just DAB in the UK is **** poor, so it really wouldn't be on my "must have" list.

My P38 has DAB+. Main reason is it sounds better than FM in the Chinese Android I installed. Also I can listen to many London / Berks stations all the way to south coast when I go to my dad's to visit.
