Ordered a set of slave cylinders amongst other gear from Paddocks the other day. When it arrived one of the cylinders was missing from my consignment.

A thirty second phone call and the part arrived next day. No awkward questions, no excuses, just a simple apology and perfect response.

Thank you Peeps.

I hope the picker/packer with the purple marker didnt get it in the neck. We are all human and these things happen. No body died.......

Its only a cheap one but thrown in all the same. :D

But they practically only sell Britpart .. !! :S

If you ask for Britpart, they will sell you that. They also sell a lot of genuine parts, and OEM parts, plus many different kinds of branded aftermarket equipment in a wide variety of price ranges. ;)

Been dealing with em almost thirty years, generally they are pretty good! :)

The exhaust was indeed a britpart one (unbeknown to me) but for a full system for under fifty dabs I have no complaints.

It will of course receive a full paint system before fitting. After all you wouldnt fit a steel panel as delivered and expect it to last.

One of my local garages fits two types of exhaust. A 12 month guarantee one and a 36 month alternative. They are the same exhaust. Your just paying twice as much for an extended warranty. They probably work on the premise that few people will claim anyway.

Waste of time they rust from the inside out

Not with the ****e my engine blows through it. :D

Unless they start putting salt in diesel................. :p

Exhausts usually go first on the raw seam or welds. On a cheap system one can double the expected life by getting off ones lazy arse and protecting both.

What can you paint exhausts with? Always had good service from these guys, just ordered some kit from them. Fingers crossed for similar high standards.

Ceramic silicone paints withstand about 900 Celsius. Not cheap but stable.
By the time you get to the rear section its much cooler than that and you can go all posh with crinkle finish silencers and the like.

Have a look at VHT BLACK FLAMEPROOF™ EXHAUST COATING SP102 and VHT BLACK WRINKLE FINISH SPRAY PAINT SP201

Dont forget its paint................ Clean, sand, clean again, prime and topcoat.

P.S. For the petrol users of this world there is nothing wrong with painting the inside of an exhaust pipe. It just takes three more brain cells than a daffodil to work out how.........

I used to use paddocks counter, but, then i started using LRDirect, one time they subsituted one part for Britpart, i rung them up, 30 seconds later not only were they resending with a better quality part than i ordered, but, they also resent the rest of my order again, as a friendly "sorry" beat that Paddocks! - One Upman Ship :p
