and use a green ink eraser to clean the contacts. then spray with contact cleaner & make n break the contacts a few times.Look at the second picture on this listing here, it shows the two ribbon connectors, probably worth a quick check that the connectors are fully s.eated
Yep you are correct, its a flexible one.Isn't there a PCB on the back of the ignition warning light shroud that the bulbs push and turn in via a holder?
The exciter wire is a permanent live when the ignition is on, make sure you supply it to the alternator via a 12 volt 1.2 to 1.5 watt bulb is it is used as a current limiter.
it needs to be live all the time to activate the alternator. I does need to be feed via a 1.2w lamp tho. do NOT apply 12v direct.
the resistor just allows current to flow to the alternator, if the bulb fails. Not sure on resistance tho.
most likely 240Ohms 1.5w
On the 300 it is 100 ohms and about a 1/2 watt ratingfurther investigation state that it should be circa 15ohms 5watt wirewound.
sounds good enough for meOn the 300 it is 100 ohms and about a 1/2 watt rating
