Cleaning the soft top on series 3

Hello

Aquired a series 3 soft top couple of weeks ago and the soft top looks like its never been cleaned totally covered in moss, mold and a thick layer of of crud...apart from a lot of elbow grease is there an easier way...have tried car shampoo, autoglym cleaner, Persil all to not much avail...

you can try a high pressure washer and indusrtrial strength kitchen degreeser.most of the military soft tops were soaked in oil for waterproofing,worked well as camo when the dust caked on but made a bloody mess to clean after patrol.
