Great lump for a Series imo.

If I was you I'd keep the 2.5 if it's running ok, fitting the overdrive will transform your fuel consumption so long as you're not a boy racer.

I've looked into tdi engines and boxes....bluebeasty has a 200tdi fitted to his series so hes the man to speak to.Putting in a 5 speed box is a lot of hassle....do a tinternet search and you'll find a photographic story of it....beyond me that was !

sell me your overdrive dont put it in the shed !

I've got a complete defender 2.5 petrol engine in it already, with the twin choke weber..

I'm lucky that my old man is very handy with a welder and likes projects
