Internal diameters are identical just the overall length is different. New ones are Delphi & lord knows what the old ones are. Going to fit these to see if it improves things. Can soon get some more for the other motor.

It is a sad fact that the whole car spares business is awash with poor quality parts and also even worse fake items in box's of known maker.
The Government trading standards is just swamped with all the crap, and it is not just car stuff, coming up to Christmas it's kid's toy's and some of it is well dodgy.

I've had Delphi cylinders fitted since 2012.
One front one mysteriously seized up after a couple of years.
No problems since in about 70,000 miles

Afternoon all!
Guess this has been asked many times before but cant find any of them.
Series 3 SWB, Brakes have never been much good & seem to need a refurb pretty much annually. Is it possible to fit disc brakes to the S3 axles? Has anyone done it? Can standard Defender parts be used? Is it worth doing?
Many thanks one & all!
I fitted Heystee discs to the front and 11" 109 drums to the rear. Standard S3 servo. The actual brake parts (master and slave cylinders, discs and shoes) are all Defender. Setup works a treat. Wet, dry, forward, reverse. All good.
